Ella at Zardi’s was first recording for the newly created VERVE label. Unreleased performance from Zardi’s Jazzland, February 2, 1956 recorded after 2 1/2 weeks of live performances, when she would be introduced on stage by Norman Granz (Founder of VERVE). A week later she would record the “Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Song Book”, which would be released as her VERVE debut. This recording would be unreleased for 60 years until Dec 1st, 2017 on Compact Disc, and get a (this) first release vinyl pressing for RSD 2018.
