My Recent Vinyl Finds

(Feb. 28, 2017)

I was at my local thrift store and discovered some cool titles that I could add to my music collection.  In the heap of albums without cover or the vinyl covers without records, I surprisingly found some interesting albums and singles from the seventies and eighties except for Olu which I purchased at another record store. After an hour of digging and sorting I walked away with 8 decent album. I was happy to find The Gambler by Kenny Rogers is good condition. It is usually a toss of the dice, when it comes to what kind of product you will find, so I try not to set high expectations on genres I want to concentrate on; like jazz. However, as a experienced digger I focus on finding vinyl that is in good to great condition and vinyl that just need a good cleaning. During this hunt I was able to find something from r&b, jazz, pop, and country.

Recent Titles Include:

  • Al Jarreau – Breaking Away
  • Teddy Pendergrass – It’s Time For Love
  • Kenny Rogers – The Gambler
  • Herbie Mann – Discotheque
  • The Bangles – A Different Light
  • Commodores – Natural High
  • Karyn White – The Way That You Love Me (Single)
  • Brenda K. Starr – Self Titled
  • Olu – Soul Catcher
